We are seeking an energetic and motivated Sales Consultant to join our dynamic team at BYD Noosa Qld. This role requires a passion for automotive technology, especially electric vehicles, and a drive to provide outstanding customer service. As a Sales Consultant, you will be instrumental in educating and guiding customers through their purchase journey, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Engage with customers on the showroom floor, providing in-depth information and demonstrations of our electric vehicle range.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and returning customers, following up on leads to drive sales.
  • Understand customers’ needs and budget to recommend suitable vehicles, highlighting key features and benefits.
  • Stay updated on new models and industry trends to enrich customer interactions.
  • Guide customers through the sales process from inquiry to purchase, including test drives and CRM documentation.
  • Deliver exceptional service before, during, and after the sale, addressing inquiries and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Meet individual and team sales targets, actively participating in sales meetings and training sessions.
  • Assist with marketing activities, promotions, and product launches.
  • Coordinate vehicle delivery, providing a detailed orientation on operation and maintenance.
  • Keep the showroom organized, collaborate with finance and service departments, and share customer insights with the team.
  • Contribute to achieving team goals, demonstrating a strong work ethic and customer-focused approach.
  • Other ad hoc tasks related to sales.

Qualifications or requirements

  • Current Drivers Licence and a good driving record
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiastic about technology and sustainable solutions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends. We operate on a 5-days work week.

Experience needed

  • Proven experience in car sales is ideal, but if you have the passion and willingness to learn, we will support you in becoming an expert in your field.
  • Experience in a premium or luxury retail, service, or clerical environment (automotive experience is a plus).
