About the Role

Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking Registered Nurses to join Narrabri District Hospital, a dynamic rural healthcare facility offering diverse clinical exposure. Nurses will gain valuable experience across emergency care, medical and surgical nursing, paediatrics, palliative care, maternity services, oncology, and perioperative services.

This role provides the opportunity to work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care to the local community. Narrabri District Hospital offers comprehensive orientation, ongoing education, and access to Clinical Nurse Educators and leadership staff to support professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, evidence‑based nursing care across multiple clinical areas
  • Collaborate with medical, allied health, and nursing teams to achieve patient outcomes
  • Participate in emergency care and rotating rosters (morning, afternoon, and night shifts)
  • Engage in professional development and continuous learning opportunities
  • Contribute to a supportive, community‑focused healthcare environment

Candidate Profile

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated experience in Emergency Department settings
  • Passion for rural healthcare and commitment to patient‑centred care
  • Flexibility to work rotating rosters including 8‑hour and 10‑hour shifts
