Background
We are currently seeking a Regional Automation/Genomics Market Development Manager who will be responsible for the team's coordination with clients and internal teams.
Location: This position is part of the APAC team, and will be remote from Australia (Sydney or Melbourne preferred).
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Responsibilities
- Driving Regional Marketing & Commercial Execution includes localize and global marketing campaigns, product launches, and workflow messaging across the region.
- Technical & Application Support: develop sales tools: ROI/TCO models, battlecards, workflow maps, competitive comparisons, and presentation content, build workflow‑specific value propositions and enable consistent commercial execution across Sales, FAS, Service, and channel partner teams.
- Provide hands‑on support to Application and Sales teams through method development, workflow refinement, and troubleshooting for automation systems, and create SOPs, templates, best practices, and scalable workflow libraries for key applications.
- Produce competitive matrices and positioning, conduct application-level competitive analysis vs major automation vendors and identify niche automation opportunities and develop targeted activation strategies.
- Act as the central communication link between Global Marketing/Product Management and TASK commercial teams, adapt global content, campaigns, and strategies for execution across multiple countries and cultures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields
- At least 5 years’ experience in laboratory automation, scientific instrumentation, robotics, or related fields.
- Technical: Hands‑On Automation Application Expertise
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Experience with global team communications
Additional Information
- Experience supporting multiple countries or distributors preferred.
- Genomics/NGS knowledge optional but advantageous.
- Liquid handling automation, workflow design, troubleshooting; genomics a plus
