About the job

Rebuilds Specialist 5/25/26 Moss Vale, New South Wales, AUS, 2577 35843 Onsite Position

Join Komatsu and Be Part of Something Big!

Overview.

At Komatsu, we don’t just rebuild machines — we rebuild value, performance, and long-term partnerships.

We’re looking for a Rebuild Specialist to join our Mining Products team, playing a pivotal role in shaping and delivering major rebuild projects across Australia.

From $50K component rebuilds to $15M multi-machine scopes, you’ll work at the intersection of engineering, commercial strategy and customer engagement.

This position can be based in either Rutherford, NSW or Moss Vale, NSW locations.

What makes this role unique?

This is not a back-office estimating role. You’ll be embedded in a modern workflow where:

  • Project Managers lead scope development and customer engagement
  • Engineering actively shapes technical solutions
  • You bring it all together into a high-quality commercial submission

You’ll influence outcomes early, owning the full quotation lifecycle — from scope development through to SAP build and final submission.

What You’ll Do.

  • Own end-to-end rebuild quotes and tender submissions
  • Partner with Project Managers, Engineers & Account Managers
  • Develop accurate scope of work aligned to customer expectations
  • Lead customer discussions to shape technical and commercial outcomes
  • Build and manage SAP structures, variations and pricing
  • Identify opportunities to improve margin, efficiency and delivery

About You.

  • Background in engineering, manufacturing or customer-facing technical roles
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capability
  • Ability to manage complexity, detail and competing priorities
  • Exposure to heavy industry, mining or OEM environments advantageous

Critical Skills & Competency Requirements.

  • Business Acumen. Apply commercial thinking to develop accurate, profitable quotes aligned to project scope and margin targets.
  • Collaboration. Work cross-functionally with engineering, projects and sales to deliver complete and achievable rebuild solutions.
  • Technical Application. Interpret engineering inputs and translate technical requirements into structured, priced rebuild solutions.
  • Adaptability & Agility. Navigate evolving scopes, large datasets and changing customer requirements with speed and accuracy.
  • Leadership. Take ownership of quoting outcomes and confidently guide stakeholders through scope and decision-making.
  • Hunter Mentality. Proactively support opportunity conversion by shaping scopes that win work and deliver customer value.

Why Komatsu?

  • Work on large-scale, technically complex mining rebuilds
  • Structured onboarding — quoting systems and tools taught internally
  • Strong collaboration across Projects, Engineering & Sales
  • Career pathway into commercial, project or engineering roles

Komatsu benefits include:

  • Fitness Passport
  • Discounted corporate health insurance with HCF and access to a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program
  • 12 weeks paid primary carer parental leave
  • Vehicle and travel discounts with Toyota, Orix and Avis
  • Discounts at over 400 retailers Australia-wide
  • Technology discounts on Apple, Dell, LG, Samsung, Xbox and PlayStation products
  • Free health and wellbeing resources
