Operating as Black Bag Roasters we have a purpose-built facility with state-of-the-art equipment. This site is a monumental milestone for Nomad Coffee Group and positions the company for some exciting growth.
We are currently seeking a Production Roaster/Green Bean Loader. These coffee roasting positions are the ideal way to progress to the next step of your coffee career. You will have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and develop into a complete coffee professional.
This is a full-time permanent position you must be available to work Monday to Friday, 6:00pm to 2:30am.
Key facets of the role:
- Operating Brambati green loading and 600kg Roaster, maintaining a continuous flow of product. + achieving production targets.
- Preparing and completing accurate records for QC and maintenance.
- Receiving, moving, checking, and storing all green bean goods between the warehouse, green bean storage facility and holding bins;
- Effectively communicate with production supervisors and roasters on roasting schedules to determine beans required/queuing arrangements
- Safely operating the forklift and other industrial tools;
- Committed to safety and quality assurance, and SQF procedures.
- Utilising and analysing roasting software.
- General cleaning and housekeeping.
What skills and knowledge do I need?
- Prior experience in food manufacturing.
- Previous roasting experience and coffee quality knowledge is prefered but not essential.
- A mechanically-minded individual with a high aptitude in automated equipment operation.
- An understanding of SQF, HACCP and GMP with strong attention to detail, safety and reliability.
- Committed to quality in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to follow policy, procedures and instructions.
- Confidence using technology & systems.
- Highly motivated with the ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines under pressure in fast-moving environment.
- A high level of communication, organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills
- Current forklift licence
