The CSA Mine is located in Cobar NSW and is Australia’s highest-grade copper mine.

The CSA Mine is located 11 kilometres north-west of Cobar, central western New South Wales. At 1.9 kilometres deep, it is one of Australia’s deepest underground mines.

We are proud to have recently joined Harmony Australasia. Harmony is the largest gold producer by volume in South Africa and is a significant operator of gold tailings retreatment facilities. In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project. In Australia, Harmony owns the high-grade CSA copper mine in Cobar, NSW and is currently preparing to progress the Execution Phase of the Eva Copper Mine Project in QLD. ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Production Drill Operator to join our underground mining team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of production drilling equipment to achieve daily and weekly production targets while maintaining high safety and operational standards.

Your duties although not limited to will include:

• Operate underground production drill rigs (Simba E70 Drill) safely and efficiently
• Set up and align drilling equipment in accordance with mine plans
• Drill production holes to specified designs and tolerances
• Conduct pre-start inspections and routine maintenance on equipment
• Accurately complete drilling reports and documentation
• Identify and report hazards, equipment faults, or safety issues
• Work collaboratively with the mining team to meet production targets
• Adhere to all site safety procedures, policies, and regulations

ABOUT YOU

• Proven experience operating production drills preferably a Simba E70 drill, in an underground mining environment
• Strong understanding of underground drilling techniques and ground conditions
• Commitment to safety and compliance with site procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Physically fit and capable of working in demanding underground conditions
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
