About the Role:

As a Pipe Layer / Drainer you will install, maintain, and repair water infrastructure, ensuring efficient and reliable flow across residential, commercial, and industrial networks. You will work on live water assets, complex excavations, pipeline installations, repairs, and maintenance as part of an operational or project team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install pipework, culverts, stormwater, and other water infrastructure per technical specifications.
  • Inspect, test, maintain, and repair pipes and related systems.
  • Locate existing underground services and safely manage excavation work.
  • Operate tools and machinery, including pipe lasers and plant equipment.
  • Prepare sites, including clearing debris and trenching for pipe installations.
  • Ensure compliance with Water Corporation specifications, regulations, and environmental guidelines.
  • Follow strict safety protocols and promote safe work practices on-site.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in pipe laying / drainer or plumbing within civil construction.
  • Current pipe laying or related accreditation.
  • Construction White Card and a valid driver’s licence.
  • Plant tickets, quick cut, working at heights, and confined space certifications are desirable.
  • Knowledge of Water Corporation specifications and civil construction practices.
