About the role
We currently have an opportunity to join Bunnings as a People & Culture Partner within our West Division. Working as part of a small, collaborative and high‑impact People & Culture team, you’ll partner closely with leaders to provide trusted advice, practical solutions and strategic people support across the business.
You’ll be the face of the People & Culture team for your stakeholders, providing strategic guidance across employee relations, talent management, diversity and inclusion, and strategic workforce planning. This role balances operational delivery with strategic influence, enabling leaders to build strong, engaged and capable teams.
You’ll work in close partnership with our Centres of Excellence to design and deliver people initiatives that drive meaningful outcomes for team members and the business.
Bunnings offers a hybrid and flexible working environment. While the base location is our Perth Support Office (Rivervale), there is travel required across our site network. The role supports two regions across WA, with stores located between Melville and Margaret River, including travel to regional locations.
What’s involved:
- Building leadership capability through coaching and development
- Delivering strategic talent management initiatives, including succession and capability planning
- Leading cyclical employee lifecycle activities
- Providing coaching, guidance and case management across employee relations matters
- Championing and embedding our diversity and inclusion strategy and inclusive culture
- Advising on and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and processes
- Supporting leaders to make informed, people‑focused decisions that mitigate risk and enhance performance.
Who we’re looking for
You’ll bring a strong foundation in HR/ People & Culture business partnering, with demonstrated capability across employee relations and the talent lifecycle. You’ll have strong stakeholder management, with the ability to build trusted relationships, and empower leaders to navigate people challenges effectively.
You’ll also have a high level of emotional intelligence and resilience, allowing you to operate confidently in a fast‑paced, complex environment while maintaining a pragmatic, solutions‑focused approach.
What you’ll need:
- Proven experience in a People & Culture/ HR Business Partner role (minimum 3 years preferred), ideally within a large, multi‑site organisation
- A tertiary qualification in HR, Industrial Relations, Law, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline (preferred)
- Good knowledge of employee relations legislation and best practice
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A demonstrated ability to take initiative and deliver practical, value‑adding outcomes
- A valid driver’s licence, due to regular travel requirements
You’ll be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong.
We love the diversity across our teams, brought together in an inclusive culture guided by our values. We welcome applications from individuals of all ages, cultural backgrounds, abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities. We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to apply and join us in shaping a workplace that celebrates First Nations voices, perspectives, and contributions.
