Payroll Officer
Permanent full-time role based in Dubbo
End-to-end payroll for a growing regional business

Inland Petroleum is a leading independent fuel and lubricants distributor, supplying customers across regional Australia for over 40 years. Due to continued growth, we are partnering with Inland Petroleum who are seeking a Payroll & Administration Officer to join the team at their Dubbo Head Office on a permanent full-time basis. This role will see you owning the fortnightly payroll for approximately 200 employees while also providing broader administrative support across the business.
What you’ll be doing
- End-to-end processing of fortnightly payroll for ~200 employees
- Importing, validating and reviewing timesheets, allowances, overtime and deductions
- Processing new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments
- Managing Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting and superannuation processing
- Interpreting and applying relevant awards and agreements
- Completing payroll reconciliations, leave accrual reporting and month-end journals
- Responding to payroll enquiries and maintaining payroll documentation
- Providing backup support across administrative functions as required
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 3 years’ payroll experience (experience with 200+ employees highly regarded)
- Strong working knowledge of payroll systems and processes
- Sound understanding of Australian payroll compliance requirements
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong Excel and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
