Background

Shoalhaven Ex Services Group is seeking a Part Time Security Guard to work across our two venues – Worrigee Sports and The Ex-Servos Nowra. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for members, guests and staff.

About the Role

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and professional environment across both venues. The role involves monitoring patron behaviour, supporting incident prevention and response, managing guest sign-ins and assisting with new membership processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring venue dress standards are maintained and refusing entry to patrons who do not meet the venues entry requirements
• Supervising the main entrance and ensuring the area remains safe and hazard-free
• Escorting patrons and staff to their vehicles when requested
• Securing the premises at closing time, including locking doors and managing re-entry requests
• Observing and reporting suspicious behaviour, including potential security risks
• Conducting regular patrols of the car park to maintain a visible security presence

Requirements

• Current NSW Class 1A Security Licence
• Valid RSA and RCG certifications
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Previous security or crowd control experience (preferred)
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Professional, customer-focused approach
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Sound understanding of safety procedures and incident reporting
• Willingness to comply with Club policies and management plans
• Successful completion of reference checks and a National Police Check
• Availability to work nights and weekends (essential)
