Vision Australia is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our Cairns team in a permanent part-time role. You can work 4 days per week or shorter hours across 5 days, there is flexibility for you to choose.
In this transdisciplinary, person-centred position, you’ll support adults who are blind or have low vision to live the life they choose—working across clinic, home, and community settings.
About The Role
As an Occupational Therapist with Vision Australia, you will:
- Conduct assessments and deliver interventions to support independence in daily living
- Facilitate individual and group programs aligned with client goals
- Recommend assistive technology and environmental modifications
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to ongoing professional development

What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and adaptability
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Passion for empowering people to achieve independence

- Recommend assistive technology and environmental modifications
