About the role..
Are you an Occupational Therapist looking to make a real difference in the lives of people with brain injuries? Join our Brain Injury Unit (BIU) at Royal Rehab, a state-wide specialised rehabilitation service representing the inpatient part of the BIRS service. You’ll play a vital role in delivering evidence-based clinical interventions that empower clients to achieve their goals.
Working within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, you’ll collaborate to develop big-picture, client-focused goals, supporting individuals on their journey to recovery and independence. Key responsibilities include:
- To provide high quality, evidenced based, timely Occupational Therapy services to clients to maximise function and performance in activities of daily living that are meaningful to the clients.
- Clinical supervision will be provided by the Senior Occupational Therapist, overseen by the Occupational Therapy Professional Leader.
- Opportunities for participating in the discipline’s in-service and EBP program will be available.
About you..
We seek a self-motivated and friendly individual with:
Essential Criteria:
- Current, full AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in working within a Neurological Rehabilitation framework.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice and multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Current C Class unrestricted drivers license.
- Excellent time management, handover and self-organisation skills.
