An exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced National Quality & Technical Manager to ensure consistent food safety, quality, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement at all Primo sites. The role is based onsite from our Chullora or Wacol office, with frequent travel required.

You will lead through influence, partnering closely with site leaders, operations and suppliers to embed consistent standards, build strong quality culture and drive continuous improvement. With accountability for national systems, audits, supplier governance and quality feedback, this role offers the opportunity to shape standards, mentor future leaders and ensure alignment across a complex, multi‑site food manufacturing network.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Provide national leadership and governance of Quality Management Systems aligned to BRCGS, HACCP, regulatory, customer and internal requirements
  • Set, maintain and continuously improve quality system standards across all Primo sites to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Develop, modify and utilise system forms, workflows and reporting tools in iLeader
  • Provide independent internal governance audits and oversight of food safety and quality practices
  • Partner with site Quality teams to drive national alignment, capability uplift and a strong quality and food safety culture
  • Lead supplier and co‑manufacturer approval, auditing and ongoing performance management
  • Oversee Quality Feedback operations, reporting, data integrity and customer issue resolution processes
  • Support food safety risk assessments, investigations and product development activities
  • Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives that will simplify systems, reduce risk and improve efficiency

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Experience needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline, with HACCP and Lead Food Safety Auditor qualifications
  • Experience in food manufacturing or similar industries
  • Advanced capability with eQMS systems, reporting tools and data analysis (e.g. iLeader, Excel, Crystal Reports)
  • Strong working knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, Australian food legislation and major customer standards
  • Proven experience leading national quality systems, audits, supplier management and compliance programs
  • A confident people leader with strong stakeholder engagement, problem‑solving skills and a hands‑on, improvement‑focused mindset
