About The Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity to join Metcash as a National Fleet & MHE Lead located in Huntingwood. The National Fleet and MHE Lead owns the day‑to‑day execution, coordination, and control of national fleet and MHE activities, ensuring adherence to approved processes, policies, governance requirements, and commercial approvals set by the National Asset Manager while working closely with State Logistics teams to ensure asset provision aligns with operational requirements.
The role ensures fleet and MHE transactions are executed accurately, compliantly, and on time, with reliable data, cost control, and effective supplier coordination across the network.
In this Role
- Manage the end-to-end fleet and MHE lifecycle, including ordering, delivery, utilisation tracking, and disposal, ensuring accurate asset records across all systems.
- Support procurement activities by contributing to tender processes, preparing documentation, and assisting in the evaluation of supplier proposals.
- Oversee financial administration including invoice reconciliation, cost monitoring, and analysis of variances to support budget and forecasting activities.
- Ensure adherence to governance, policies, and audit requirements, maintaining accurate documentation and escalating risks or control gaps as needed.
- Coordinate and manage supplier relationships, including maintenance scheduling, performance tracking, and issue resolution.
- Manage compliance, insurance, and incident processes, ensuring assets are registered, maintained, and all records and systems are accurate and up to date.
- Deliver accurate reporting and insights, maintaining data integrity across systems, supporting operational decision-making, and collaborating with State Logistics teams to ensure effective execution.
You’re Likely a Match If
- Proven experience in fleet and/or MHE administration within logistics, transport, or operational environments.
- Strong capability managing high-volume, compliance-driven transactional processes.
- End-to-end knowledge of fleet and MHE lifecycle administration, including procurement and disposal.
- Experience in financial reconciliation, invoice validation, and cost control processes.
- Solid understanding of compliance, audit requirements, and governance for vehicles and equipment.
- Proficiency in fleet systems, telematics, and Microsoft Excel, with exposure to Power BI and risk/incident systems (e.g. Evotix) desirable.
- Must have a current Drivers License.
