This role is a critical link between management and warehouse personnel, serving as a key channel for deploying policies, procedures, and operational information. The primary purpose of the role is to oversee all warehouse functions including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch to ensure smooth and efficient workflow across the distribution centre.

Role Responsibilities

  • Leading the NDC team.
  • Reviewing daily work requirements and allocating labour.
  • Actively participating in the development & improvement of warehouse processes.
  • Training and development of the warehouse team, through supervision and feedback.
  • Ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating the flow of incoming parts and allocating labour to ensure prompt receipt and put-away of parts.
  • Recording and reporting missed shipments, damaged or incorrect parts.
  • Receipting ‘Returns’ and ‘Warranty’ parts and providing feedback/relevant information to stakeholders.
  • Assigning tasks (picking, sorting, packing) to team members based on priority.
  • Ensuring all outbound orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately.
  • Tracking and updating and Inbound and Outbound KPI board.
  • Setting and maintaining a warehouse housekeeping standard.
  • Taking the lead on toolbox talks and other team meetings.
  • Providing operational assistance where required including forklift operation, pick, pack and put away.
  • Ensuring materials handling equipment is inspected and maintained.
  • Performing stock checks and purchase of consumables; pallets, shrink wrap etc.
  • Participating in and contributing to the effectiveness and ongoing compliance to the certified safety, quality and environment systems ISO 9001 Quality Management System – Requirements, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems and ISO 14001 Environment Management Systems.

  • Valid LF forklift licence (LO desirable)
  • Parts characteristics knowledge (desirable)
  • Service process knowledge (desirable)
  • Current drivers’ licence
