Background information about the job or company

ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback. Due to unprecedented growth across our remote sector, we are looking for an experienced Mine Site Cleaning Project Manager to oversee a number of operations across our eastern portfolio.

Roster is 8 days on, 6 days off working 12 hour days. DIDO from Mackay and Moranbah or FIFO from Brisbane. Locals encouraged to apply from the Mackay and Moranbah regions.

The Position

Project management across multiple mine site cleaning operations

Maintaining consistent operational performance, driving quality, cost, people capability and performance

Driving regular and sustainable improvement in our safety performance

Fostering a high-performance culture through continuous improvement and innovation

Staff engagement and development, modelling positive working relationships, demonstrating trust, care and respect

Developing strategic client relationships, and identify additional growth opportunities

Support client and contractual relationships in a commercial manner ensuring compliance and company policies are followed

The Person

Experience in Remote Portfolio, and/or Village Management positions

Strong and decisive leadership skills with ability to build effective and engaged teams

Experience managing multiple client relationships and project deadlines with competing priorities

Strong financial and analytical skills in managing budgets and allocating appropriate resources to ensure a sustainable and profitable business

Ability to identify and implement new innovations within the hospitality industry.

Experience in Staff recruitment, retention, rostering, and subsequent management of both permanent and casual workforces.

Proven management experience in the hospitality field, ideally within a Catering and or Accommodation services environment.
