Job Description

Fantastic opportunity to utilise your IAM Skillset and enterprise level UAR campaign management

Lead the User Access Review (UAR) program across all in-scope systems within Qantas Group Technology

Full-time permanent role based at our Head Office in Mascot

At Qantas, we represent Australia to the world. Our diverse country is known for its unique spirit, mateship, and a can-do attitude. Together we’re strong and resilient, and we work hard to make sure we’re always at our best.

The Manager – User Access Review is responsible for the end-to-end operation of the User Access Review (UAR) program across all in-scope systems within Qantas Group Technology, including campaign design and scheduling, platform configuration, system owner engagement, and remediation tracking. This role ensures that access rights across enterprise systems are periodically reviewed, validated, and remediated in line with the relevant Qantas Standards and applicable regulatory and compliance obligations.

Operating through two dedicated UAR platforms, the UAR Manager designs and executes structured review campaigns, engages system owners to confirm or revoke access, and drives timely remediation of identified issues. The role is the primary point of accountability for UAR compliance reporting, providing Technology Leadership with clear, accurate, and actionable insights on campaign outcomes, remediation progress, and overall access governance health.

This role plays a critical part in the Qantas Group broader identity and access management posture, reducing the risk of unauthorised access, access creep, and insider threat across the Technology estate

What You Will Doing

  • Define, schedule, and execute User Access Review campaigns for all in-scope systems across Qantas Group Technology, aligned to Group Standards and applicable compliance requirements.
  • Manage campaign configuration within the two UAR platforms, ensuring all in-scope
  • Provide the primary point of contact for system owners participating in UAR campaigns, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Track and monitor all access remediation activities resulting from completed UAR campaigns
  • Design and deliver regular, structured reporting on UAR compliance, covering system-level compliance to Group Standards, campaign completion rates, and remediation timeliness.
  • UAR Platform & Process Management, and Compliance Framework Alignment

You will bring:

  • 2 – 5 years in Identity and Access Management (IAM), access governance, technology risk, or a closely related field; with demonstrated accountability for access review programs or compliance activities.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or significant on-the-job experience in a relevant field.
  • Practical experience designing, executing, or managing User Access Review programs or campaigns at an enterprise scale.
  • Familiarity with UAR or IGA platforms (SailPoint, Saviynt, One Identity, or similar) and the ability to manage campaign configuration and reporting within these tools.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, ability to drive accountability and timely action from system owners and teams that do not directly report to this role.
  • Understanding of relevant compliance frameworks and how access governance obligations apply in large enterprises (e.g. PCI DSS, ISO 27001, internal policy).
  • Demonstrated ability to produce structured, clear, and insight-led compliance reporting for senior audiences.
  • Continuous improvement orientation, able to proactively identify process inefficiencies and implement smarter ways of running the UAR function.
  • Demonstrated experience with audit support activities, including maintaining audit-ready records of access decisions and remediation evidence.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail, able to identify anomalies, access risks, and systemic issues within access review data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain access governance concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong motivation and ability to work in a complex matrix enterprise environment
