About the Role

Lead the daily management of facilities and building operations at one of Australia’s premier cultural institutions. You’ll oversee maintenance, contractors, and compliance to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and the preservation of the national art collection.

  • Manage building operations and maintenance programs
  • Oversee contractors and contracts performance
  • Develop cost‑effective facilities strategies and policies
  • Monitor building management systems and assets
  • Lead WHS and risk management activities
  • Provide reports and advice to senior management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proven experience in facilities or building management
  • Knowledge of WHS, risk, and compliance standards
  • Mandatory certifications: White Card, Asbestos Awareness, Class C Licence
  • Australian Citizenship with ability to pass police check
