You crave a career that pushes you, where you'll meet challenges head on and you're guaranteed to grow.

You'll make a tangible impact on the people of NSW, using your finance and accounting skills to help build a sustainable and thriving transport network for generations to come.

Responsibilities or duties

In this role, you'll:

  • Work as part of a high-performing team delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting and strong financial control across the Transport portfolio. You will manage key statutory reporting requirements, provide technical accounting advice, review balance sheet reconciliations, and support ongoing improvements to financial governance and control.

About you

You communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely, engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, and take a collaborative and solutions focused approach to building strong working relationships across the organisation.

You are also a people leader who enjoys coaching others, building capability, and driving high performance in a financial control setting. Your strong attention to detail, advanced Excel skills, and ability to work confidently with large data sets and complex financial information enable you to deliver high quality outcomes consistently.

To be successful in this role, you will hold a bachelor qualification in Accounting, Business, Economics, or Commerce, along with full membership of a recognised professional accounting body such as CA or CPA. You will also bring at least five years of post-membership experience in financial reporting or statutory accounting, along with significant experience in financial management and control within large, complex, or highly regulated environments.
