Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Management Accountant to join our dynamic team in Perth, Western Australia. This permanent, full-time role is essential for providing accurate financial information and strategic insights to support our business objectives. The ideal candidate will play a key role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and proactively drive end-of-month reporting completion in line with the Company’s required objectives.
  • Produce management reports for internal and external company requirements, processing all required general journals.
  • Financial analysis of the Company’s performance using key data, ensuring spending is in line with budgets/forecasts.
  • General ledger reconciliations, ensure the integrity of the general ledger and subsidiary systems.
  • Assist with completion and lodgement of relevant tax returns including GST, PAYG, Payroll Tax, FBT and Fuel Tax rebate calculations.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, including preparation of baseline data, templates, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain financial structures, cost allocation methodologies, and reporting processes, supporting governance requirements and continuous improvement through automation and streamlining.
  • Oversee the maintenance of various company asset registers (e.g. depreciation, hire purchases) including acquisition and disposal entries.
  • Assist with Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) process and preparation of various associated reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, CMA), or working towards, is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management accounting/finance role.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
