Information Support Officer
Employer: Department of Corrections – Legal, Freedom of Information and Complaints
Designation: Administrative Officer 5
Salary: $90,946 – $95,468
Location: Darwin
Job Type: Full‑Time, Fixed 6 Months

Responsibilities/Roles:
- Process Freedom of Information applications in compliance with legislation.
- Handle court summons, subpoenas, warrants, and other information requests.
- Prepare correspondence, ministerial briefings, and reports.
- Liaise with Solicitor for the NT and external legal providers.
- Assist with inquests, delegations, and other legal matters.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Ability to interpret/apply legislation and legal principles.
- Knowledge of court processes, FOI, and privacy practices.
- High integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Desirable: Experience in release of information; records management knowledge.
