An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Impairment Benefits (IB) Specialist to join a high-performing Workers Compensation team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing impairment assessments and supporting injured workers through a critical stage of their claims journey.

About The Role

As an IB Specialist, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end impairment benefit processes, primarily within the Second Entitlement Period (typically around the 130-week mark). You will work closely with internal stakeholders, medical professionals, and external providers to ensure timely, fair, and accurate outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end impairment benefit claims and assessments
  • Coordinate Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) and review medical evidence
  • Apply relevant legislation and guidelines to determine Whole Person Impairment (WPI) outcomes
  • Liaise with internal teams, claimants, and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and service standards
  • Provide technical guidance and support across the broader claims team
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim records

About You

  • Previous experience in Workers Compensation, ideally within impairment or technical claims roles
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and impairment assessment processes
  • Experience interpreting medical reports and complex documentation
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
