About the Role

Workscene is seeking a motivated IT Support professional to join its growing IT department at Head Office (Villawood) as the main point of contact for IT support services.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1 to 5 years IT experience looking to develop their career in IT support within a dynamic environment with potential for further advancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the primary point of contact for IT support requests
  • Respond to support tickets and queries in a timely manner
  • Provide first-line technical support to staff and retail stores across the organisation
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Onboarding/Offboarding – configuring new user accounts, etc.
  • Document technical issues and resolutions
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when required
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT support processes
  • Assist with broader IT projects (Systems maintenance, hardware management, etc)
  • On call IT support when required outside normal business hours
  • Occasional travel to retail stores throughout Sydney when required

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT or similar field
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Enthusiasm for learning and developing technical skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • MS Office 365 competency
  • Can do attitude
  • Australian residency status
  • Valid NSW Driver’s licence

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Windows operating systems
  • Familiarity with common IT management solutions (Microsoft Intune, Active Directory)
  • Experience with ERP (e.g. MYOB Acumatica) and POS systems
  • Any exposure to apparel manufacturing technology (e.g. printing and embroidery)
  • Security-first mindset/attitude (e.g. background in cyber security)
  • Networking knowledge
  • Programming/scripting skills
