About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and customer‑focused automotive/mechanical Workshop Technician to join team. This role suits a technician who enjoys hands‑on basic mechanical work, accurate diagnostics, and a well‑organised workshop environment. You will assemble, service, maintain, and upgrade and repair this specialised equipment in Parramatta. Enjoy a Monday to Friday schedule – no weekend work.
Responsibilities or duties
- Assemble and test new equipment prior to delivery, new equipment and upgrades to current models
- Must be skilled in Hydraulics
- Work with Haib cranes
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs and maintenance on equipment in the workshop.
- Dismantle, repair, reassemble, build and fabricate (Must be a competent Welder)
- Communicate with customers and provide clear updates about their equipment.
- Complete digital job documentation accurately, including labour hours and parts used.
- From time to time, customer site visits may be required as a service technician, this is rare opportunity to help build their state-of-the-art workshop, as it grows.
Qualifications or requirements
- A relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience in mechanical or automotive servicing, welding you must be proficient in welding truck bodies including structural locations.
- Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving ability
- Experience working with mobile equipment, electrical or hydraulic systems,
- Clear communication skills and a customer‑focused approach,
- High attention to detail, especially with documentation and parts allocation,
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital service systems for ordering of parts
- A current unrestricted driver’s licence
- Read and interpret design plans
- The ability to safely lift, carry, and manoeuvre heavy equipment following workplace safety standards.
