Your Opportunity

Based in Meekatharra, the Housing Case Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting families, women and their children to achieve stability, independence and improved wellbeing within a safe and secure environment. Working under general direction, you will apply specialised case management expertise to support clients navigating housing instability, homelessness and broader life challenges, while helping them build pathways toward long-term housing and community connection.

Embedded within the Homelessness & Housing Support service, this is an on-site position within a remote and close-knit community, where you will deliver holistic, culturally safe, and trauma-informed support. You will support clients with complex needs, many of whom may present with trauma backgrounds, disengagement, or vulnerability, requiring resilience, empathy and the ability to remain calm in confronting situations. The service provides medium-term accommodation alongside wraparound case management and community development support, empowering clients to transition from unsafe or unstable housing into sustainable, independent living.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intake assessments, including pre-tenancy interviews, and manage housing and tenancy waitlists.
  • Deliver tailored, trauma-informed case management and develop person-centred plans to support client goals and housing outcomes.
  • Provide wraparound support through advocacy, referrals, and coordination with internal and external services.
  • Build strong, culturally safe relationships with clients to understand and respond to their immediate and long-term needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the Department of Housing and stakeholders to secure and sustain tenancy outcomes.
  • Support tenancy establishment and maintenance, including move-ins, property care, accessing essential services, and NILS loans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case notes, reports, and documentation, contributing to program compliance and service outcomes.

Requirements for Success

  • Relevant qualification (minimum Certificate IV preferred) or degree in community/human services with demonstrated experience in case management.
  • Strong experience working with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and CALD clients.
  • Sound understanding of homelessness, housing instability, and associated challenges such as family violence, mental health and substance use.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver trauma-informed care and manage complex client needs autonomously.
  • Excellent communication, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
  • Cultural capability, resilience, and emotional intelligence to work effectively with vulnerable clients in challenging and at times confronting environments.
  • First Aid certificate desired but not required
  • Full driver's licence with no restrictions
  • Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.

Your Benefits

To ensure our employees feel valued, empowered, and celebrated, we provide a range of employee benefits including:
