Whilst not mandatory, possession of or working toward vocational, tertiary or postgraduate qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety and/or Rehabilitation and Return to Work will be highly regarded.
Experience needed
Demonstrated capability and experience in the provision of workplace rehabilitation services to support employee health and the ability to function as a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator, including an excellent understanding of information privacy and managing confidentiality.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing workplace health and safety and workers' compensation in Queensland and the proven ability to apply that knowledge to implement effective WHS systems, risk management approaches and other initiatives in the workplace.
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to effectively engage, collaborate, and be a trusted advisor to a broad range of stakeholders, in the context of a statewide ambulance service in a 24/7 operating environment.
Proven success in delivering coaching, training and/or informative presentations to managers, supervisors and/or staff regarding health, safety and wellbeing.
Well-developed organisational and analytical skills including a demonstrated ability to manage, interpret and monitor performance data and reporting mechanisms to identify trends and issues and drive performance improvement.
Proven success in the implementation of WHS management systems through working with managers and supervisors to facilitate practical, efficient and effective outcomes, across a range of workplace health and safety functions and risks.

The successful applicant should be willing to perform the function of the Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator, including obtaining the applicable qualification once appointed, if required.
The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
