About the Role
Teys Australia is seeking general labourers to join our by-products facility based at our Murgon processing site in Queensland.
The role will be responsible for general activities in the fleshing and salting department including:
- Fleshing and trimming hides, ensuring minimal damage
- Operate the fleshing machine
- Report defects on hide condition to Production Supervisor (ie hair slip, odour, etc).
- Maintain the work area clean and tidy.
- Pack hides to the approved and assigned pallets, ensuring that stacks are square and neat.
- Ensure finished pallets are correctly labelled.
- Work within company safety and environmental guidelines.
About You
You must have the following experience/skills:
- A “can do” attitude & willingness to learn
- Australian resident with full working rights in Australia
- Pass a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol test
- Q-Fever vaccinated (or willing and able to obtain)
- Follow best practices in workplace health & safety
