Our client specialises in the flavour and fragrance industry, located in Smithfield. We’re looking for reliable and motivated individuals to join their Liquids Production Team in a hands-on role that’s essential to the creation of the products that shape the taste and scent of everyday experiences.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Food Process workers to join a busy and well-established liquids and powders manufacturing facility in Smithfield working day shift. This hands-on role is perfect for someone with a strong background in food manufacturing who is confident working with powdered ingredients and automated machinery.
You’ll be part of a dedicated production team, completing machine operating and process work that is responsible for blending and batching raw powdered materials used in food and personal care products, including flavourings and fragrances.
For You:
- Long-term opportunity in a stable industry

- Consistent day shift hours – no nights or weekends
- $39.39 p/hr on afternoon shift and working 2pm to 10pm
- Monday to Friday roles
- No daily confirmation needed from the agency!
- Temp to Perm after 6 months!
What You’ll Be Doing
- Collect and prepare raw materials for production
- Operate vacuum lifters to load powdered ingredients into mixing machinery
- Follow batching sheets and recipes accurately
- Blend and mix ingredients using manual and automated systems
- Conduct salt testing and operate offline metal detectors
- Prepare and mix liquid and powder batches according to detailed formulations
- Operate pumps, mixers, machinery and other processing equipment
- Accurately weigh, measure, and handle raw materials
- Maintain clean and hygienic workstations following GMP standards
- Complete batch documentation and follow safety procedures
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets
- Perform manual handling tasks (up to 20kg)
- Pick, pack and prepare finished goods for dispatch
- Maintain strict hygiene, safety (WHS), and quality standards (GMP & HACCP)
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in food manufacturing or food processing
- Food production machinery operating experience
- Food Processing experience
- Strong batching and blending experience
- Able to understand batch cards and recipes
- Experience weighing and mixing raw materials
- Physically fit and capable of manual lifting (20kg+)
- Comfortable working with dry powdered ingredients and strong aromas
- Solid knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and WHS protocols
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work autonomously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
