New Year – New Position

Fixed Plant Electrician required for gold mining processing plant

Fulltime position

Family friendly roster

Aurenne is a privately owned company bringing fresh, innovative thinking to the mining sector. We challenge the norm, back our people, and get things done—safely and smartly.

Our team-first culture, modern camp facilities, and commitment to doing things right make Aurenne a great place to work. With our own airstrip, comfortable rooms, and expanding operations, this is your chance to join a company where your skills will be valued—not lost in the crowd.

The plant commissioned by GR Engineering Ltd in April and May 2023, is a newly constructed Gold Processing Plant of 1.5m tpa CIL plant.

Its design allows for crushing to a fine grind size of 45 microns, maximizing gold recovery while also increasing plant throughput. Due to the site’s multiple pit nature, the plant is designed with flexibility in mind.

About the Role

We are looking for a fixed plant electrician or to join our team on a fulltime permanent basis. The scope of work will vary from inspecting work areas and plant for hazards, damage and defects, to attending maintenance on the plant or breakdowns in the bore fields. The successful applicant will also be assisting with any electrical requirements across the NPI both at site and camp where required. There is also an opportunity to assist with the RO treatment plant all while being a part of this small team consisting of 2 electrical team members and 1 supervisor per shift.

This is an 8:6 day shift roster with a January start on offer. Call outs will be required from time to time. FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Kalgoorlie.

Skills required

  • Understanding drawings, or specifications to determine methods and sequence of works.
  • Efficiently performing electrical maintenance (preventative and corrective) within the processing plant and bore fields.
  • Diagnosing faults and breakdowns.
  • Maintaining accurate job history notes and ensuring effective communication of work status and any incomplete tasks for hand over.
  • Complying with statutory and regulatory standards, conducting performance tests on equipment, and assisting with other trades when competent.
  • Maintain a safety focus and engage in hazard identification and risk assessment processes.
  • Identifying and implement maintenance opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist other trades and coworkers – reinforcing our ONE TEAM motto
  • Participate in any meetings required, including any prestart, maintenance meetings and HSEQ meetings.

About you

You will be a motivated individual possessing relevant trade qualifications. Must have proven experience working in the mining industry on fixed plant ideally in the gold sector.

Requirements

  • Certificate III in electrical technology or similar.
  • Valid WA Electrical licence.
  • High Voltage certification.

  • 8:6 FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Kalgoorlie | We fly with Skippers – no long lines here.
