Our new FinWell program represents a significant evolution in how we walk alongside clients. While traditional emergency relief meets urgent needs, FinWell responds to the deeper, ongoing challenges people face by providing relationship-based support over time, centred on dignity, empowerment and practical capability building.
We're looking for a Financial Capability Caseworker to join our multidisciplinary FinWell team and help clients build the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to move forward with stability and hope.
About the Role
As a Financial Capability Caseworker, you will deliver targeted, short‑term, capability-focused support to individuals and families experiencing financial stress. You'll work collaboratively with Financial Counsellors, Community Pantries, NILS teams and local community partners to provide an integrated client experience.
You will:
- Conduct person‑centred, trauma‑informed financial capability assessments
- Deliver strengths‑based coaching supporting behaviourchange and confidence
- Build practical money skills and client‑led case plans
- Support goal setting,budgetingand financial literacy
- Provide advocacy, warmreferralsand service navigation
- Meet clients in community settings including churches, mobile hubs,pantriesand local agencies
- Contribute to outcomes,reportingand continuous improvement
- Represent Anglicare positively across the sector and community
What You'll Bring
- Social Work, CommunityServicesor relevant degree (or diploma with experience)
- Experience supporting people facing financial hardship or disadvantage
- Strong communicationand rapport‑building skills
- Case management and financial literacy coaching experience
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Competency with MS Office and client databases
- WWCC and Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- NSW DriverLicence
