About the Role
As a Financial Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and effective finance operations across the APAC region. You will work closely with the Head of Finance – APAC and contribute to month-end reporting, tax compliance, financial analysis and continuous improvement, across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist and review the preparation of accurate financial statements and support group and local reporting.
- Manage general ledger activities, month-end journals, and account reconciliations.
- Assist with tax compliance across ANZ (BAS, Payroll Tax, PAYG, IRD).
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis for decision-making.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, including depreciation and asset tracking.
- Manage and execute day-to-day transactional finance activities across accounts payable, accounts receivable,and payroll, with a focus on process efficiency and controls.
- Support cash flow monitoring and forecasting.
- Contribute to audit preparation and respond to audit queries.
- Help strengthen internal controls and process improvements.
What you will need to succeed:
You bring the following skills and experience:
- Degree qualified in finance, business, accounting or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification CA or CPA with a strong knowledge and application of international accounting standards (IFRS) and accounting principles.
- Expertise in financial reporting and knowledge of tax laws and compliance requirements in the local jurisdiction.
- Around 2-4 years of experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in both Excel and accounting software; familiarity with NetSuite is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
