About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and organised individual to join our team as a Finance Officer / Shipping Coordinator. This dual role requires a proactive approach to managing financial tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping department.

Responsibilities

  • Process invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of domestic and international shipping.
  • Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs declarations.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.
  • Track shipments and provide updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and inventory.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Experience in shipping coordination or logistics is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
