The Opportunity

As a trusted advisor and key member of the APAC Regional Management Team, the Finance Manager is critical to our operations and service across APAC. As an experienced finance leader, you will lead a small but committed team that oversees all key finance activities, planning, reporting and compliance across APAC. With multiple projects secured and in the pipeline across the APAC region, this is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in wind power generation to join a rapidly expanding global business.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead regional budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for APAC projects and entities
  • Oversee the accurate, timely monthly closes for APAC entities and projects including financial analysis
  • Coordinate banking relationships in collaboration with Global Head of Treasury
  • Manage regional cash flow forecasting and working capital optimization
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements across APAC
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and finance external stakeholders
  • Oversee corporate income tax matters including tax filing in corporation with Global Head of Taxes
  • Act as a key advisor and point of contract to global finance teams
  • Provide financial guidance on commercial contracts and vendor agreements
  • Analyze regional performance vs. budget/forecast, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Provide monthly and annual financial insights to senior management
  • As a member of the APAC Regional Management Team contribute to strategic decisions, planning initiatives and programs
  • Monitor and control regional operating expenses
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives and margin improvement programs
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small but dedicated team
  • Oversee APAC payroll management
  • Promote consistent financial standards and governance across the APAC region
  • Build a strong finance culture focused on accuracy, integrity, and business partnership
  • Contribute and provide leadership to the integration of recent acquisition in Australia

About you:

  • Minimum 8 to 10 years’ finance management experience that includes managing and leading a finance team
  • Certified financial professional (i.e. CPA, CFA or other)
  • Extensive experience in managing budgets, tax and regulatory compliance, forecasting, reporting requirements and cash management
  • Exposure to finance management in APAC would be favourable
  • Experience with local GAAP and IFRS reporting requirements
  • An advanced level of the MS Office suite of products
  • Experience in the renewables or resources industry would be looked upon favourably but is not essential
  • Ability to build relationships, strong attention to detail, high integrity, and ability to communicate with wide ranging stakeholders in a fast-paced changing environment.
