About the Role
Teys Australia is looking for a motivated and experienced Facility Asset Manager to join our Asset Management team based at the Biloela processing site in Queensland.
Reporting to our General Manager of Operations, the role will be responsible for overseeing different aspects of our plant, including maintenance and reliability, capital project management, purchasing, utilities, and environmental systems management.
Other responsibilities include:
- Drive preventive maintenance activities and improve the efficiency of the site assets.
- Support a collaborative team culture and promote continuous improvement
- Engage with stakeholders to develop and implement plant upgrades
- Oversee compliance and relevant documentation
- Manage asset budgets including reliability, parts, maintenance and labour costs.
- Monitor health and safety and environmental activities, focusing on preventing and mitigating risks.
About You
It is essential that you have the following experience/skills:
- Degree, Diploma or Trade Qualifications in the Mechanical or Electrical fields.
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience in an export food manufacturing facility.
- 5+ years’ experience in maintenance and reliability management.
- Great knowledge and experience in the contemporary management of refrigeration, automation, wastewater, steam generation, and environmental technology
- Strong experience in Root Cause Analysis, Preventive Maintenance Optimisation, and exposure to modern asset management practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and technical skills
- Experience in delivering multi-disciplinary capital projects
Desirable:
- Direct experience in an export meat processing plant
- Experience in a Senior Engineering or Asset Management role
