About the role

As a dedicated Employment Consultant, you will be focused on finding employment outcomes for participants within the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program by identifying opportunities and securing placements. These roles work to achieve sustainable employment outcomes for participants by building and maintaining effective relationships with local employers, pro-actively understanding their resourcing needs and successfully matching candidates to opportunities.

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Engaging with jobseekers to understand their goals, skills, and support needs
  • Developing tailored employment plans and provide pre‑employment preparation
  • Partnering with employers to identify inclusive opportunities and place candidates into meaningful roles
  • Building strong relationships with community organisations and stakeholders
  • Providing ongoing post‑placement support to both employees and employers
  • Addressing workplace adjustments, mentoring, and training needs to ensure success
  • Monitoring progress and intervene early to overcome barriers to retention
  • Maintaining accurate records and compliance with IEA program requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in employment services, recruitment, disability support, or related sectors
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with diverse stakeholders
  • A solutions‑focused approach and ability to motivate others
  • An eagerness to learn and grow within the industry
  • Strong team player attributes
  • Ability to prioritise workload, use initiative and multi-task
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • High level of computer literacy
