About the job

The role of an Electrical Estimator will see you working from our head office in Victoria Park, providing critical support in the preparation and submission of competitive tenders and proposals for our Engineering Construction division.

You will be involved across the full tender lifecycle and will also involve close collaboration with project managers, engineers, planners, and commercial teams to ensure estimates are accurate, commercially sound, and aligned with delivery strategies.

Our Engineering and Construction division provides large-scale multidisciplinary project management and construction services. Our delivery of high-quality work within the resources sector has earnt us a solid reputation and enviable relationships with some of the industry’s leading operators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysing qualitative and quantitative data for inclusion in tenders, including obtaining relevant information/data, calculating costings and providing advice and information
  • Provide expert electrical estimating advice to the business unit and assist with compiling major tenders, proposals and expressions of interest on behalf of the division.
  • Review tender documentation and calculate costings for submissions
  • Develop and review tenders and proposals for quality, risk, accuracy, and completeness; responding quickly to correct problems

What you’ll bring:

  • Relevant trade qualification
  • Relevant on-site industry experience in the resources, engineering or construction industry with a strong understanding of electrical trades and disciplines involved in site/project operations coupled with knowledge of relevant construction/maintenance norms and industry rates
  • A proven capability working within the engineering contracting sector servicing the resources, energy or infrastructure industries
  • Well-developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills to ensure effective communication with all levels of stakeholders
  • Advanced skills in use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Self-motivated, career driven and have a passion for providing excellent customer service
  • Excellent written communication skills with high attention to detail, to accurately prepare and review content
