Description
Drill Fitter | 2:2 roster | T45 Blast hole rigs
Aurenne is a privately owned company bringing fresh, innovative thinking to the mining sector. We challenge the norm, back our people, and get things done – safely and smartly. We encourage people to think, make decisions, and keep the job moving forward. Roadblocks have been removed, and autonomous work is not only encouraged—it’s essential.
This is a full‑time, 2:2 FIFO roster, hands‑on role, employed directly, with an immediate start on offer. However, we know people may have notice periods and are happy to discuss other availability.
What’s in it for you:
- Permanent position – no more contracting, no more worrying about a project coming to an end. We have at least 5 + years mine life ahead of us.
- Owner operated site – Be seen and valued for your contribution. Meet the owners on site.
- We fly with Skippers – no long lines here.
- Competitive salary + Super + 10% bonus. (The bonus has been consistently paid since inception)
- Small team, great culture – be recognised, not just a number AND go back to the same camp every night
- Salary sacrificing, discounts, and employee assistance program
- Referral program – Get paid for working with your mates
- Great food, permanent rooms, well set out gym and a tavern that you thought only existed in Perth.
Scope of work:
We are looking for an experienced Drill Fitter to join our team. We require someone with experience working on T45 rigs or similar.
The suitable candidate must be able to trouble shoot, attend breakdowns, complete servicing, perform preventative maintenance, component change outs and ensure the rigs are in good working order prior to every shift. You will be primarily working out of the mobile maintenance workshop, (10mins from camp) however there will be requirements to attend drill sites to check and monitor the rigs and assist with any breakdowns or concerns. All of these sites are on our tenements, and pits, and all are within approx. 40kms from site and workshop.
About you:
- Australian recognised Trade Certificate – Engineering Mechanical Fitting or HD Mechanics.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role working on blast hole drill rigs within the mining or a related industry.
- Own tools.
- Current Australian manual drivers’ licence.
- Unrestricted Australian working rights.
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical and hold a national police clearance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
