Responsibilities or duties

  • Promote a positive image of Council through professional presentation and service consistency.
  • Support service integration within multiple sites and help facilitate community engagement initiatives.
  • Assist in administrative and clerical duties supporting front-line operations and data accuracy.
  • Work as part of a team committed to service excellence and continuous improvement, contributing to KPI achievement.

Qualifications or requirements

  • Proven experience delivering high-quality customer service in fast-paced, multi-channel settings.
  • Ability to handle sensitive customer interactions, including conflict resolution.
  • Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Strong communication skills in English; multilingual ability—particularly in community languages—is highly desirable.
  • Flexibility to work shifts starting between 9 and 11 AM, approximately five hours per day.
  • Ability to travel between multiple sites in the Hume area after training.
  • Previous experience with administrative or clerical tasks and cash handling is advantageous.
