About the team

The Compliance Officer supports the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensures compliance with accreditation standards across the organisation. As the primary contact for QMS, they provide training and support to staff while maintaining system accuracy and effectiveness. They assist with audits, accreditation processes, and compliance reporting, ensuring regulatory requirements are met. Working closely with the Quality & Compliance Coordinator and Quality Assurance Officer, they help address gaps, improve risk management practices, and contribute to quality-driven projects. Their role is key in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring high standards across the organisation

About the role

  • Support the Quality and Compliance Coordinator and Quality Assurance Officer with QMS-related functions, including document control and process improvement.
  • Act as the primary contact for the QMS ensuring compliance activities are logged and actioned.
  • Provide hands-on training and support for QMS issues and ensure system accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Assist in the preparation, coordination, and follow-up of internal and external audits.
  • Support with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
  • Gather data for audit reporting and performance assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and funding agreements, and assist with contract compliance tracking.
  • Maintain and manage the document control system to ensure policies, procedures, and compliance documents are up to date.

About you

Essential Criteria

  • Experience with or understanding audit preparation, regulatory reporting, and compliance management or high level administration skills with ability to learn compliance.
  • Ability to understand policies, regulations, and contractual obligations.
  • Strong skills in document control, version management, and compliance tracking.
  • High-level organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and liaising with stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team within tight deadlines.

Desirable Criteria

  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), compliance frameworks, and accreditation processes.
  • Experience using LogiQC or similar QMS.
  • A certificate or tertiary qualification.
  • Experience or understanding of accreditation frameworks.
