Hi there! We’re Five Good Friends.

We’re an approved aged care and NDIS service provider helping our Members (others call them clients) live vibrantly in their own homes. We wrap a care team around them and their families, supported by innovative software that coordinates in the background—so our teams can focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional care.

We’re proud to be a place where purpose meets impact. Every day, our work supports people to live the lives they choose, and that starts with the clinicians who bring expertise, empathy, and leadership into our communities.

As more Members seek high-quality clinical care at home, we’re growing our nursing team. That’s where you come in.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Community Registered Nurse to join our Clinical Care Team. In this role, you’ll work directly with Members and their families to understand their needs, help them navigate their funding, and plan how Five Good Friends can best support them to continue living well at home.

This is a community-based role involving travel to Members’ homes (kilometres reimbursed), balanced with flexible work-from-home arrangements when you’re not visiting. You’ll collaborate closely with Care Coordinators, Care Specialists, and Helpers to deliver safe, person-centred, and high-quality care.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing clinical oversight and support for Members with complex care needs, including home visits and risk assessments.
  • Collaborating with Care Teams to ensure consistent, person-centred support.
  • Referring to allied health professionals and external providers to coordinate services.
  • Reviewing and contributing to Help Plans so Helpers are well informed and supported.
  • Supporting complaint and incident management processes in line with quality and safety standards.
  • Contributing to compliance with legislation, accreditation, and quality frameworks.
  • Partnering with the Manager – Complex & Clinical Care to develop and implement clinical service improvements.
  • Providing timely, practical clinical advice across the business.
  • Looking for new ways to improve processes, strengthen local partnerships, and grow our presence.
  • Representing Five Good Friends with professionalism, warmth, and pride—like you own it.

About You

  • Registered Nurse qualification with current AHPRA registration.
  • Experience in community, aged, or primary care nursing (highly regarded).
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident providing clinical guidance and high-quality handovers.
  • Experience in wound and catheter management (advantageous).
  • Passionate about supporting older Australians to live meaningful, independent lives.
  • Skilled at building strong, trusting relationships with Members, families, and colleagues.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Current driver’s licence and National Police Check.
  • You must have the right to work in Australia.

What’s in It for You

  • A competitive salary package that recognises your skills and experience.
  • Flexible work arrangements—community visits balanced with working from home.
  • Annual $500 health and wellbeing allowance.
  • Additional annual leave accrual after your second year.
  • Access to our Pandemic Leave policy and the option to purchase extra leave.
  • Free confidential counselling through our Employee Assistance Program.
  • Parental leave top-ups for eligible caregivers, including superannuation support.
  • Extend our care to a loved one at a special rate. This family member will receive Care Managed services at Self Managed prices. (values vary depending on circumstances)
  • A workplace with an employee engagement score 17% above industry average.
  • And after 5 years of continuous service—a trip to Okinawa, Japan, the community that inspired Five Good Friends.
  • Providing clinical oversight and support for Members with complex care needs, including home visits and risk assessments.
  • Collaborating with Care Teams to ensure consistent, person-centred support.
  • Referring to allied health professionals and external providers to coordinate services.
