We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:

Responsibilities or duties

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in clinical trials management - with proven ability to support the planning, training, implementation, and conduct of high quality clinical trials, ensuring adherence to ethical, legal, and operational standards.
  • experience in monitoring research project compliance, including progress reporting, risk mitigation, and close-out documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to build supportive research networks, with a proven capacity to engage proactively and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including novice and experienced researchers, as well as clinical and non-clinical partners.
  • Proven experience in leading the development and implementation of research initiatives and activities that strengthen staff capacity and capability to conduct high-quality research while fostering a culture of research excellence within the organisation.
  • Experience in providing guidance and support to staff in preparing research-related documentation such as grant proposals, research protocols, data management plans, and consent forms.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and staff from diverse backgrounds and at all career stages, with a strong commitment to fostering research skill development within culturally diverse communities and promoting inclusive, respectful and anti-discriminatory practices in research activities.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • A tertiary qualification in paramedicine, nursing, psychology or other allied health, science, research management, or related discipline.

Experience needed

  • Previous experience leading research trials in a health-related field is highly desired.

  • Occasional travel across the state may be required for this role.
  • Applications to remain current for 12 months.
