Background

An Australian trades and technical services company delivering electrical, infrastructure, communications, and maintenance solutions across major projects.

The Role:

Lead a small civil crew delivering underground electrical infrastructure works, including trenching, conduits, pits, and services. This is a hands-on role involving team supervision, machinery operation, and assisting with site tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate a 3-5 person civil crew on site.
• Complete excavation, trenching, and installation of underground electrical infrastructure.
• Operate excavators and posi tracks as required.
• Assist the crew with general labour when needed.
• Maintain site safety, compliance, and daily productivity.
• Run toolbox talks and ensure JSEAs/SWMS are completed.
• Liaise with subcontractors and supervisors and track materials.
• Support and mentor junior team members on site.

Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience as a Civil Leading Hand.
• Proven experience in civil works for electrical infrastructure or utilities.
• Strong capability operating excavators and posi tracks.
• Experience working around live services.
• Familiarity with TMR standards or Energex requirements (highly desirable).
• Construction White Card.
• Current driver's licence + own transportation.
• Can pass Drug & Alcohol Testing.
