Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a highly experienced management professional to join our Eastern Region team as Central Area Manager (New South Wales).

Reporting to the Operations Manager – Country, this is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving sales performance, operational excellence, and financial outcomes across our concrete and logistics operations throughout the Central Coast, Newcastle, and Hunter regions. The role spans both Heidelberg Materials and Hymix brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Utilise your operational expertise to enhance our concrete plant and logistics performance with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Business Impact: Make critical decisions affecting sales, financial reporting, and cost management within budget.
  • Customer Engagement: Foster strong relationships with customers to drive new business and achieve sales targets.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis and gather intelligence to identify strategic business opportunities within your region.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to grow market share and expand our customer base.
  • Team Development: Inspire, motivate, and coach your team to execute strategies effectively and achieve regional goals and objectives.

  • Experience & Qualifications: Degree qualified or with at least 5 years of management experience in quarrying and concrete operations.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of business impacts and market dynamics.
  • Financial Expertise: Proficient in managing budgets and monthly P&L statements.
  • Customer Focus: Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and results.
  • Relationship Builder: Ability to build strong, effective relationships with key stakeholders.
