About the Role
South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Cardiac Technologist (Grade 1) to join the cardiology service at Liverpool Hospital. This role involves delivering high‑quality cardiac diagnostic and procedural support across a wide range of non‑invasive and invasive cardiology procedures.
You will contribute to patient assessment, treatment, and ongoing care while working in a collaborative, supportive team environment that values technical excellence, professional growth, and patient‑centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cardiac investigations including ECG acquisition, Holter monitoring, exercise stress testing, and cardiac device interrogation
- Assist in invasive procedures such as cardiac catheterisation and device implantations (Grade 2: electrophysiology studies)
- Ensure accurate data entry and reporting across eMR and cardiology systems
- Contribute to staff training, education, and quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in ongoing professional development, CEPIA studies, and on‑call duties
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science or health‑related field
- Ability to recognise and document abnormal ECG waveforms
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to support a harmonious work environment
- Australian C‑Class driver’s licence (P1 or P2 accepted; NSW licence required within 3 months of appointment)
- Commitment to professional development, patient safety, and clinical accuracy
