AstraZeneca's Respiratory Biologics team is currently recruiting a Business Manager role for our Victoria West territory. Building on a proven end‑to‑end model that has strengthened our leadership in biologics and improved patient outcomes, we are building capacity in Victoria.

VIC West - Melbourne, Ballarat, Geelong, Bendigo

What You’ll Do

  • Build expert knowledge of AstraZeneca’s respiratory biologics value proposition, to identify win‑win‑win solutions.
  • Drive responsible uptake and initiation growth at territory, state and national levels.
  • Map and prioritise hospital accounts using local patient/pathway insights; segment and target DMUs (respiratory physicians, pharmacy, DTCs, nursing, administrators).
  • Develop and execute territory business plans; analyse performance (quant & qual), course‑correct, and execute with excellence.
  • Develop strategic partnerships and relevant stakeholders to optimise access and outcomes.
  • Execute in‑person, virtual and digital engagement with sustained cadence; champion compliant, data‑driven omnichannel to optimise reach, frequency and content; coordinate peer‑to‑peer education and scientific exchange.

About You

  • Proven Business Manager/Key Account Manager experience in specialty care with hospital accounts; strong execution of account plans in complex clinical settings.
  • Track record of exceeding targets/KPIs; strong influence/negotiation across multidisciplinary hospital stakeholders.
  • Scientific literacy in respiratory or complex specialty TAs; ability to communicate MoA, clinical evidence and compliant differentiation.
  • Business acumen, analytics, and results orientation; disciplined planning and execution.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration experience (Medical, Marketing, Access, Compliance).
  • Agility in competitive biologics markets; innovative opportunity identification.
  • Familiarity with Medicines Australia Code and field compliance.
  • Tertiary degree in Business and/or Science; valid driver’s license.

Desirable

  • Respiratory therapy area understanding; existing relationships in Victoria
  • Experience with biologics and/or Section 100 restricted medicines.
  • Launch experience (new product/indication) in hospital settings; ability to navigate market access at account level (early access, formulary/protocol).
  • Omnichannel engagement and digital capability to drive adoption and education.
