The Opportunity - Business Intelligence Analyst

As a Business Intelligence Analyst within the Amplar Health Commercial Health, you will be responsible for using rich data assets to generate actionable insights, develop analytics solutions and data-driven tools that support strategic decision-making across Amplar Health. Your work will inform customer engagement, operational efficiency, clinical outcomes, and commercial performance.

Responsibilities or duties

How will you create value

In this broad ranging and crucial role, you will use your data analytics and business intelligence experience to add value to Amplar Health by:

  • Provide stakeholders with actionable insights and management information through in-depth data analysis to support informed decisions.
  • Extract, transform, load, and analyse datasets from various data sources, data warehouses, and data marts to deliver customer and commercial insights through data visualisations, reports, or insight packs as required.
  • Analyse and monitor trends in programs and initiatives to explain the key performance drivers.
  • Proactively drive process improvement, automation, and governance to improve efficiency and productivity using SQL, SAS, Python and Tableau/Excel.
  • Present and communicate technical ideas clearly and concisely (verbally and in writing) to a wide range of audiences, including non-technical business stakeholders.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and relevant LT members across Virtual Health and the wider Amplar Health Services team as required to understand/document reporting and actionable insights requirements and provide appropriate support through data analytics & reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Data Hub to resolve data quality and integration issues, and to define and document new data requirements for both existing and future reports and dashboards.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

You will bring proven experience at the analyst or consultant level within data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence. You will demonstrate a collaborative mindset, strong work ethic, and a passion for leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making. Your enthusiasm for data and analytics is matched by your ability to influence business performance and enhance customer outcomes through actionable insights.

Experience needed

Other key experience includes:

  • Experience building insightful reports/dashboards and data visualisation in Tableau (including Tableau Cloud to publish dashboards and data sources) or similar visualisation tools such as Power BI.
  • Demonstrated experience in using SQL, Python, or SAS for data analysis, data manipulation, and analytical programming.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Experience in analytics & reporting process automation and optimisation using SAS.
  • Exposure to data modelling and/or machine learning techniques is advantageous.
