What does the job look like?
We’re looking for a commercially astute and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to join our BevChain team. This role plays a critical part in driving sustainable business growth by identifying new opportunities, securing strategic partnerships, and delivering high-quality tender submissions aligned with our growth strategy.
You will lead the end-to-end business development lifecycle from market insight and opportunity identification through to bid execution and customer engagement working closely with internal stakeholders to design and deliver innovative, value-driven logistics solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, competitor analysis, and proactive customer engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders to generate and convert growth opportunities
- Lead and deliver end-to-end tender and bid processes, ensuring high-quality submissions and timely delivery of key milestones
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Commercial, Legal, Safety, and Senior Leadership) to develop tailored, customer-centric solutions
- Develop compelling proposal content and presentations that clearly articulate our value proposition
- Maintain and continuously improve a bid library to support efficient, high-quality future submissions
- Manage a robust and active pipeline of opportunities to support revenue and growth targets

You are a driven and strategic business development professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced logistics environments. You bring a strong mix of commercial acumen, stakeholder influence, and the ability to translate data into actionable solutions.
You will bring:
- 5+ years’ experience within a complex logistics or supply chain environment
- Proven success in managing tenders, bids, and commercial negotiations
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal development
- Commercial acumen with the ability to interpret cost-to-serve and financial impacts
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into operational solutions and continuous improvement initiatives
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and business analysis capability
- Experience using systems and reporting tools, with an understanding of operational and financial linkages
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
