Are you ready for a role that’s as dynamic as it is meaningful? Join the nbn Local Accelerating Regional initiative as a Brand & Community Ambassador and become the human face of high-speed connectivity in regional communities.
Bring the “Why Fibre” story to life across 21 regional towns and cities, engaging schools, Chambers of Commerce, and local communities. These school/business events will showcase the real-world benefits of upgraded fibre to build awareness and understanding of fibre upgrades, strengthen local relationships and trust.
Responsibilities or duties
- Bring the “Why Fibre” story to life through inspiring school and Chamber of Commerce activations
- Lead full-day immersive events from set-up to pack-down, ensuring smooth, engaging, and safe delivery
- Translate complex technology into simple, human, and memorable experiences for all ages
- Build strong relationships with schools, local chambers, delivery partners, and community leaders
- Capture insights and feedback to continuously improve event experiences
- Travel extensively across regional Australia, experiencing new communities, cultures, and landscapes
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
About You
- You’re a confident, energetic communicator with a knack for engaging people of all ages
- This role would suit Science Communications graduates
- Experience in brand ambassadorship, experiential marketing, education outreach, or tech activations
- Background in STEM, science communication, or technology is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, able to manage logistics and run sheets independently
- Solutions-focused, adaptable, and able to pivot when plans change
- Comfortable being the public face of a program, including media, photography, and video
- Willing to travel extensively and work across multiple states and territories
- Able to complete employment checks and Working With Children Checks in all activation states
