The Opportunity

Join Hewitt Agribusiness as a Station Electrician/Bore Mechanic and play a vital role in maintaining and improving critical water and electrical infrastructure across the Narwietooma Aggregation. This hands-on position offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work across vast and remote landscapes. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of solar bore systems and station electrical assets. Working both independently and alongside the station team, your contribution will directly support operational efficiency and livestock wellbeing. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys practical problem-solving and working in dynamic environments.

What you will be doing.

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including solar-powered bore pumps
  • Travel across the property to inspect, troubleshoot, and respond to breakdowns
  • Monitor water systems, ensuring consistent flow, pressure, and functionality
  • Maintain compliance with electrical safety standards and accurate service records
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and coordinate with suppliers and station management

  • A current Australian “A” Grade Electrical Licence and strong safety knowledge

  • Knowledge of generators and mechanical systems (desirable)
  • Experience working in remote, agricultural, or station environments (advantageous)
