About the Role

As Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for working in the day-to-day bookkeeping and account's function.

The successful candidate will need to have a strong foundation of accounting and business fundamentals with strong communication skills able to work for the company's best interests at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bank reconciliations on a daily basis.
  • Credit card and bank loan reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure all creditor invoices are entered and reconciled back to the supplier statement on a monthly basis.
  • Resolve creditor queries & ensure creditors are paid in the timely manner.
  • Sending out of monthly debtor statements and management of debt collection.
  • Entering and processing of purchase orders including receipting in and costing of goods which will include foreign exchange purchases.
  • Management of HR and processing of payroll through MYOB AccountRight.
  • Working with external accountants & consultants to answer specific questions across different areas of the business.
  • Working in conjunction with the management team of the business daily assisting with specific and ad-hoc tasks.
  • Dealing with sensitive information within the business and ensure privacy is maintained on all communications and knowledge gained.
  • Support cash flow forecasting in conjunction with management and the external CFO through detailed tracking of customer deposits, scheduled final payments, outstanding debtors, and invoicing of associated costs, ensuring clear visibility of expected cash inflows and outflows.

Skills & Experience:

  • The successful candidate would have had experience working in bookkeeping of a business which has a high volume of invoices.
  • Bookkeeping and/or accounting qualifications within an ability to receive and provide pro-active feedback.
  • Have worked closely with key managers in a business and completed tasks on their behalf.
  • Have the confidence to have "hard conversations" with team members if they are not completing tasks in an appropriate manner; and
  • Preferable to have had experience with MYOB AccountRight.
